The Corner House in Bondi makes gluten free pizza that is so good it could pass as normal pizza. I say that because my friends have eaten it accidentally and not been able to detect anything Coeliacy and suspicious. It is definitely the best gluten free pizza I’ve eaten so far in my Coeliac journey. I’ve just had lunch but even thinking about this pizza makes me hungry again.
These are the ones that make my mouth water:
Ben Buckler
Prawns
White anchovies (these are unreal – go on – be brave)
Tomato passata
Provolone cheese
Lemon
Parsley
Olive oil
Daniella
Provolone cheese
Asparagus
Shaved parmesan
Truffle oil (it’s just a hint and really makes the pizza)
Crispy pancetta
You have a few location options to choose from to consume this pizza. Depending on your mood:
1. Upstairs in the bar area: Dark, noisy, sexy, Chesterfields, cool. World’s friendliest bar dudes who really know their stuff – both cocktails and wine. You can order your pizza from the bar and it will find it’s way to you in the dark. No need to book. Just roll on in.
2. Downstairs in the dining room: Need to book for this spot (normally – you could jag a table if you’re lucky). And you have the full menu available to you.
3. Downstairs in the kitchen: This is the front section of the joint, that looks out over Bondi Road. I love this section. It’s a great place to hang and watch the Bondi characters go by. Get here early enough and you’ll get a seat. Perfect pre-outing slice of pizza and a glass of vino.
My take on the Corner House is that it’s an adult retreat – rather than drag your prams, toys, kids and dogs in. That’s not to say you couldn’t if you were early enough. Maybe leave the dog at home though.
Love their work.

Nice one, will have to try this out.
I’m always on the hunt for great GF pizza. To date, Hugo’s are the best I’ve found on my GF journey.
Thanks for sharing

In Melbourne try our local place at Pizza Religion in Hawthorn – friends and kids all agree the GF base is better than the non GF option. And the pizza’s are awesome too which means our Vegetarian / Gluten Free – which is a dining out challenge sometimes – can eat amazingly well!

The Corner House is good. To date the best gluten free Italian I’ve found in Sydney (and I’ve been looking for years) is Lanzafame in Crown St Woolloomooloo. They seem to have nailed the holy grail of good GF home made fresh pasta and gnocchi. The GF pizza bases are pretty crash hot too. Thanks for your blog by the way.
